This agreement represents a new step on the path towards decarbonization, in line with the maturity of hydrogen-based technologies. To promote this deployment, future customers who are interested in decarbonizing their fleets using Toyota fuel cell models will be able to refuel renewable hydrogen at the station network that Repsol plans to install in the main mobility and logistics corridors of the Iberian Peninsula. Toyota and Repsol share the vision that the deployment of hydrogen-based mobility will be promoted, in a first phase, through professional fleets, and will continue to develop as the market matures. These vehicles will be able to use any of the hydrogen refueling solutions that Repsol is working on, tailored to the needs of each client. Through this alliance, Repsol and Toyota Spain will offer their customers a comprehensive solution for mobility based on renewable hydrogen, which includes Toyota fuel cell vehicles powered by renewable hydrogen available in the Spanish market since 2015 and updated to its latest version, commercialized since 2021. That shared ambition led both companies to sign a collaboration agreement to promote the use of renewable hydrogen to decarbonize transportation for the next few years. (Repsol/AltFuels) Repsol and Toyota Spain have among their main lines of action the promotion of net zero emission technologies to contribute to the decarbonisation of society.
